I have just visited the Science & Nature store in Willowbrook, what a great place.

I love all the interesting things there are to look at. Probably because there are a number of things that take me back to my childhood. Who doesn’t like becoming a child again, if only for a few minutes! They have life-like plastic animals – I used to collect these to add to my farm collection. Yes, I actually made up a ‘farm’! I used to really want to live on a farm but that was not going to happen so this was the next best thing.

If you are looking for a gift for young or old they have a terrific collection. Telescopes, binoculars and more! Imagine being able to stargaze on a bright starry night. I use my binoculars all the time to check out all the different bird species that visit my backyard, one of my many hobbies.

I also enjoyed looking at all the coloured polished rocks. I have a rock polisher that I use to polish rocks I have collected on the beach, they look beautiful when they are shiny. I can’t think of anything more relaxing than walking along the beach with the sound of the waves lapping on the shore. Ah! Back to reality. They have one of the best jigsaw puzzle collections and the staff are great at helping you find the one you want.

Next time you have a few minutes to spare, take a look inside and I am sure you will find it very fascinating and fun, just as I did. Oh to be a kid again!
