Fitness motivation can be hard, especially when we want to enjoy this great spring weather. I think that most of us would prefer a refreshing drink on a patio rather than sweating it out at the gym. But summer is right around the corner and we need to stay on top of our game! One way I stay motivated is treating myself to some new gym gear because I can’t wait to show it off! Here are some of the extras I purchase when I need to get back on track:
-
At first I didn’t think I needed a fitbit in my life – but I was wrong. Fitbit motivates you to reach your health and fitness goals by tracking your activity, exercise, sleep, weight and more! I get so competitive with myself trying to beat the previous day’s results. Sport Chek has the best selection of fitbits – make sure you get their expert advice on which one is right for you!
-
I love a good pair of leggings for exercising (and lounging) – they are so comfy and versatile! I have quite the collection of colours and styles already but these Puma leggings from Hudson’s Bay have caught my eye - the orange stripe is so unique and so flattering! These are great for working out because the fabric draws sweat away from your skin to keep you comfortable and dry. Sounds good to me!
-
If you’re like me you probably have 100 water bottles at home, but this S’well bottle from Coles is the last one you’ll ever need. It will keep your hot drinks hot and your cold drinks cold! The best part is, they come in the cutest colours and patterns! Plus, reusing our favorite water bottle means we are keeping the plastic ones out of our landfills. Functional and fashionable! Trust me – you’ll want to show this off at the gym in no time.
-
My personal favorite – new running shoes! New shoes are great for keeping you motivated for two reasons. One, they look great which makes you feel great, and two, they will be so comfortable you will be able to run for miles! These Under Armour runners from Foot Locker are lightweight, breathable and cushion-y – plus, they are the perfect colour for spring!
